Nads’ Special Effect support

My Story
I am Nads (short for Nadine - don't ask!) and am going to do this years Ride London on the 29th May - 100 miles on the bike. Yes, it's as crazy as it sounds!
BUT it's SO worth it as I am riding for Special Effect, a wonderful charity who transform the lives of physically disabled people across the world by not just bringing fun but also enhancing their quality of life with technology (helping people control video games to the best of their abilities).
The last 3 years have been tough! Losing my brother and dad shortly after that, has really made me question what life is about and for quite some time I struggled to see the good in anything.
Over time, I realised, however, that people you love deeply, carry on living in us forever. Their memories give us happiness in our darkness, strength in our tiredness.
We feel their love even when they are no longer by our side, telling us what to do. We hear them in our heads when faced with a tough decision. We feel their presence as we take pride in our biggest accomplishments. And we learn from them - they teach us that life is precious and deserved to be lived to the fullest.
So, in memory of both, my brother and dad, I’d like to help those suffering with a lifelong illness or disability to live their life to the fullest! I'd love for all of you to help bring a smile back to all those beautiful people's faces! It's a small act of kindness but hugely impactful and often life-changing too!
Thank you for all your support!
