My Story
Since my sister Deborah Peacock has worked at Woodlands SEN School I've got to know a bit about the school and the children and young people who go there. It's a fantastic place to learn, to make friends, to feel supported (and that's just the staff 🤗)
Woodlands School is a school for pupils from 2-19 who need the support of a specialised curriculum to enable them to reach their full potential. All of our pupils have either an EHCP, statement of special educational needs or are in the Early Years and currently under assessment. The pupils have either severe learning difficulties, very complex needs or autism. We have a highly skilled and dedicated group of staff who support the pupils to develop holistically in all areas. We have high aspirations for our pupils and believe that with the best teaching, we can support them to achieve.
I feel so honoured and privaledged to be able to do my first 100mile bike ride on behalf of this wonderful school.
All of the money raised will be going towards new outdoor canopies for at least two of the classrooms in the lower school. And who knows... we may even be able to fund another one xx
