My Story

I have been looking to take on challenge for a year or 2 now and when I got asked by a friend to join him on a charity bike ride there was only one answer. Little did I know what I was setting myself up for, in agreeing to do the RideLondon -Essex 100, it's the equivalent of doing a marathon on a bike, or so I'm told. Regular Sunday morning rides out and around the Surrey Hills have taken on a new meaning, particularly as there are now only a couple of weeks of training left but it's been great to get out and see some beautiful parts of the countryside.

As a number of my family and friends are in the medical fraternity and because of what we have all been through recently, I thought it was right to give something back. The work that The Victoria Foundation do has therefore become even more meaningful. Their overall aim is transforming lives where there is an opportunity to do so - either through medical provision or by ensuring that those young people destined to become the future generations of doctors are not thwarted by financial restrictions. I think we will all agree Doctors have put themselves and their own wellbeing on the line to protect us all, so I thought I'd like to raise a few quid for this worthy foundation.

I'd appreciate anything that you feel you can donate, no matter the size.

Thank you!
